| The installation of Nantou County Archive was set up in 1952. It was also used as Police Apartment, Bureau of Upland Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, and Bureau of Environmental Protection, successively. Due to the proximity to and exterior similarity of Wu-de Temple, Cultural Bureau, in the view of maintaining old building¡¦s functionality and integrity, sought subsidization from Council for Cultural Affairs, Executive Yuan and 921 Earthquake Reconstruction Council. The building was fully repaired in March 2003 and reopened to public in June of the same year.

An exhibition room, covers an area of 260 square meter area, is provided for artists to presenting their works. |
