「茶則」作者葉大川，作者以西遊記裡面的人物唐僧「三藏」、孫行者「悟空」、豬八戒「悟能」、沙和尚「悟淨」為主題來雕刻成茶道中的基本用具茶則，竹雕茶則不但提昇了茶道的高雅與內涵，作者更以這些大家耳熟能詳的人物，來提醒我們在泡茶的當下去「淨化」自己的身心、去體驗生命的「空性」，依性起修後，再去發揮生命的「潛能」，並效法唐「三藏」那種不怕艱難、為法忘軀的偉大情操，以堅定不拔的毅力，去完成自己人生崇高的理想與目標。

 “Tea scoop” by Yeh Da-Chuan. The artist uses the characters from the novel “Journey to the West”—“San-zhang”, “Wu-kong”, “Wu-ning”, and “Wu-jing” as the theme for the sculpting of tea scoop- the basic instrument in the tea ceremony. The bamboo tea scoop improves the meaning and elegance of the tea ceremony, as the use of the familiar characters also remind the public to “purify” their hearts and souls at the moment of making tea, and experience the “emptiness” in life. They practice according to character, and develop the “potentials” of life to the fullest. We can also follow San-zhang’s example of fearlessness, selflessness, and perseverance to accomplish our own ideals and goals.
