彭雅玲女士擅長漆藝，此組件「漆器竹杯」之胚體，應用竹材中空有節的特色，以一節之孟宗竹車製而成，杯墊的胚體是木材。因竹筒內的薄膜和筒外的竹皮，不易被漆料附著，故上漆前需先將它去除，所以薄膜通常以噴砂的技術除膜，外皮則可用車製、刮刀刮除和砂磨去除等三種技法。竹杯內層以生漆擦拭6次以上，方可防止滲水及發霉，外部則經過生漆固胎、中塗、黑色及朱色腰果漆噴塗後，再以手工彩繪梅蘭竹菊等圖紋裝飾。屬於具實用性的藝術品。

Ms. Peng Ya-Ling specializes in lacquering. The body of the set, “lacquered bamboo cup,” utilizes the hollow, segmented characteristics of bamboo, which is made from one entire segment of moso bamboo. The body of the coasters is made of wood, because it is difficult for lacquer to stay on the inner membrane and outer skin of the bamboo. This is why they must be removed before being lacquered, and the membrane can be removed by sand-blasting. Later, the skin can be removed by methods of fabricating, shaving, or sanding. The interior of the bamboo cups was rubbed with natural lacquer six times to prevent leaking and mold. The exterior went through spray-painting in black and vermillion before being hand-painted with the motifs of plum, orchid, bamboo, and chrysanthemum. It is a practical art piece.
