「舞影」作者林建成，竹材中空有節纖維縱向，常用來剖成篾片，再編成器或留住管狀的特性製成桌倚，也可裁成條狀再膠合成積層竹材。此件作品的加工方式，跳脫了傳統的技法，以桂竹斜切成0.2公分的薄片，並藉由斜切和四層不同角度的重疊膠合，以強化了作品的耐用強度，做為燈具使用時，由於不同層次和不同大小的間隙，所曳流出來的光影變化萬千，映在強面時婉如蝴蝶翩翩起舞，是ㄧ件極有創意的作品。

 “Dancing shadow” by Lin Jien-Cheng. Bamboo is hollow with horizontal ring fibers, which is often cut into strips and woven into vessels, or its cylindrical shape is maintained and made into furniture. It can also be cut into strips and glued into layers. The processing method of this piece surpasses traditional techniques by taking sheets of makino bamboo that are 0.2cm thin, where twill cuts and layering from four different angles strengthen the durability of the piece. When used as lighting fixtures, the light that shines through and the shadow it creates take on a million changing forms due to the different layers and sizes of the crevices, forming dancing butterflies when reflected upon the wall. It is quite a creative piece.
