茶簍是採茶季節以手工採摘茶青的最主要容器，形似魚簍，底寬頸小，口稍大，無蓋，以竹篾編成，其編法與形式有多種，但基本原則是竹篾間縫隙不能太大，以避免茶青掉落。使用時將茶簍綁在腰間，以方便迅速的將茶青投入。然由於其重量較重，編作成本也高，目前已幾乎全改用塑膠製的茶簍了。

Tea baskets are the most important vessels when handpicking tea during the harvest season. They are shaped like a fish basket with a wide base and narrow neck, in which the mouth is large with no lid. They are woven from bamboo, with various weaving techniques and shapes, but the basic rule is that the crevices between the bamboo strips cannot be too large to prevent tealeaves from falling. While in use, the tea basket is tied to the waist, convenient for rapid insertion of tealeaves. Due to the heavier weight and higher costs, most have converted to plastic tea baskets.
