Buildings introduction
The county's unique natural geographical environment bred rich prehistoric culture, from County cultural sites have successively excavated various kinds of aboriginal pottery, showing the deep roots between the pottery and Nantou. The literature can be verified that Nantou Pottery had been more than two hundred years of history, closely related to the ancestors at all aspects of their life. Pottery industry reached its peak in Japanese colonial period in Taiwan, glory at that time. Developing until now has become one of the county's special products.
This hall is the craft museum with special presentation to introduce the Nantou pottery. In the museum mainly displays all kinds of pottery supplies used by the ancestors, such as chopsticks bong case, incense burners, furnaces, night pots, oil tank, pillow, flower table, tea set and ceramic statues etc. Also types and characteristics of clay, molding techniques and decorative techniques, the introduction of the kiln, modern pottery, etc., to lead visitors through the time tunnel, enjoy the beauty of the early Nantou pottery.
