　　In 1949, the National Government, which had retreated to Taiwan due to the Chinese Civil War, set up "Taipei City" as a temporary capital, until in 1957, the provincial government relocated to the new administrative center - ZTE Village, governments between the Central and local just had a segment, the Taiwan provincial government relocated into ZTE Village more than 40 years, upholding the spirit of ZTE to grasp all key affairs of the province's cities and towns, to promote the modernization of Taiwan Province, and then not only moved towards prosperity and wealth, but also witnessed the Taiwan's democratic process in past 50 years, it has been with the "administrative special zone" at the most important core historical position of provincial government.
　　At the beginning of the restoration, all things in the Taiwan society had been waited to be taken up, however until in June, 1999, before acted the Taiwan Province to be Virtual level policy, based on the good foundation and scale established from the former chairmen, the Taiwan provincial government committed to innovation, continuous research & development, actively promote the political, economic, Education, culture, health and social welfare etc. various grass-roots construction, actually had established the Democratic constitutionalism regulations, created a large number of outstanding talents for the national community; moreover the provincial government commitment to the central government, supervising the local autonomy, coordination and integrating across counties and cities, had been with the Administrative hub function, therefore lay the foundation of the public safe and happy life.
　　The "Taiwan Provincial Government" has been with the "administrative special zone" at the most important core historical position of provincial government as in the former provincial government era, and has maintained a high degree of integrity for the "Provincial government historical scene" and "Provincial policy history display space". It was the important historical significance of contemporary representation, on behalf of the National Government moved to Taiwan the most important policy presenting, with the designated "monuments" value and potential. In 2011, it was a nominated county monument from the Nantou County Government announcement.
