Location:Nantou County the plaza in front of Zi-Nan Temple between Fushing Palace left side in Mingjian Township and Sang Liao in Jhushan Township.
Taiwan river deep and mountain high, whether remote barren lands or hot peak routes in ancient times, once encountered rivers or streams barrier, It was without any ways to set up a bridge, only relied on water-ferry for access, except land traffic transportation, ferry into the land became the important water connection ways. Water-ferry divided into official and private crossing, the former by the official building, the latter by the private building, each mainly served the water-ferry crossing to gain money to be their occupation business. If served the water-ferry crossing free of charge, it was called Yidu (Ferry Free crossing), which was divided into official-free and private-free crossing. Whatever any kind of ferry crossing, the purpose was same to aim at linking China Unicom both sides, to facilitate the people travel. So the Ferry free crossing funds, often set up the real estate to collect rent for maintaining.
Yongji Yidu, at Jhuoshuei River side, is the traffic key post between the Sang Liao and Jhuoshuei River, one in the old Changhua County, Sha Bianbao from the town of fifty miles located in the Sang Liao village(now named Zhushan town-Sang Liao), the other one is the Turbid village(now named Mingjian Township- Turbid village) located in the South-east more than 40 Kilometers area in old Yunlin County, is the key post between Taiwan Government and Changhua county for Shalian. Shore east is belong to Changhua, Shore west is belong to Sha Lianbao.
In Qing Dynasty Tongzhi early years, Shalianbao Ao-Liao village people, uncertified scholar - Dong Rong-hua and First-degree Scholar - Jane Hua-sen discussed to build Yidu, after the death of Dong Rong-hua and then the plan got interrupted. In the 5th year of Qing Emperor Guangxu dynasty (1879), Dong Rong-hua son Dong Zhong-qi, inherited his father intention, invited Wu Chao-yang and others co-advised to donate, Taiwan town, General soldiers chief, Wu Guang-liang contributed salary, obtaining a total of 2,800 silver dollars, buying ten-segment pastoral to be finally completed , And set the monument for  memory, writing on it : "Yongji Yidu monument Inscriptions".
Yongji Yidu monument set a total of two, one in the front of Fushing Palace, Matsu Temple, Mingjian Township; one in the front of Zi-Nan Temple, Fude worship, Sang Liao, Jhushan Town. High width, inscription and material are the same. Monument height 185 centimeters, width 88 centimeters, granite made, writing clear. Two monuments away from the Turbid Creek confrontation, near the site address right is the ferry dock at that year. Yigong monument from the simplified to worship, inscriptions in addition to the list of donations, land details, the provisions of the Constitution, the more detailed description of the origin of donated Yidu building, good words and dedication meanings, touching so deep.
